Immersive Experiential Design

Event Overview

Created as a surprise summer experience for my daughter, Camp Mara transformed Roberts Regional Recreation Area in the Oakland Hills into an immersive day camp adventure designed to inspire imagination, encourage tactile creativity, and create an inclusive outdoor environment where children with different interests, abilities, and sensory needs could explore together.

Inspired by the magic of childhood summers, every detail was intentionally designed—from the camp's visual identity and custom graphics to themed activities, interactive games, keepsakes, and thoughtfully curated guest touchpoints. Rather than simply hosting an outing, the goal was to create a fully branded experience that encouraged curiosity, confidence, connection, and lasting memories in nature.

From concept development through creative production and on-site installation, Camp Mara demonstrates how experiential design can transform public spaces into meaningful environments that foster play, storytelling, and shared experiences.
